The Austin District Music Teachers' Association hosts performing and theory events throughout the year.   Contact me for more details.

National Federation of Music Clubs Junior Festival

The National Federation of Music Clubs seeks to promote American Music and American composers.  Students are required to play two pieces one of which must be in the NFMC Bulletin 2017-2021 and contains music only written by American composers.  The other piece must be by a non-American composer.  Students are rated Superior, Excellent, or Very Good and given written comments on their performances.  If a student earns a Superior 3 years in a row, they receive a gold cup!  Students are also given an option to participate in sight-reading, duets, or theory tests.
